‘Polar Express’ to stop at Corydon Cinemas
A free showing of “Polar Express” is scheduled for Sunday at 7 p.m. at the Corydon Cinemas, with a limited number of tickets available.
The event is in partnership between the Harrison County Parks Dept., Sheriff’s Dept. and Prosecutor’s Office.
Doors will open at 6 p.m., and children can visit with Santa and other characters prior to the movie. Each child will receive a gift.

Holidays prompt early paper deadlines
O’Bannon Publishing Co. will close Friday, Dec. 24, for Christmas Eve and again Friday, Dec. 31, for New Year’s Eve, prompting early deadlines for the Dec. 29 and Jan. 5 issues of The Corydon Democrat and Clarion News.
For the Dec. 29 issue of both newspapers, engagements, weddings, anniversaries and birth announcements should be in the office by 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23.

Four NH students named ‘Rising Stars’
Four North Harrison High School juniors were selected as Rising Stars of Indiana after being nominated to the program by their school.
