Firefighters, Civilians Injured in TX Grass Fire; Fire Truck Burned – Fire Engineering

Two firefighters and two civilians were reportedly injured in a large grass fire in San Patricio County, Texas.

Sheriff Oscar Rivera reported on social media that the injuries occurred as Sinton firefighters worked to put out a 385 acre fire off Farm-to-Market 1945 west of Love’s Truck Stop. Halo Flight transported one of the victims.

Crew members were reportedly trapped in the fire and their fire truck burned to the ground. Images showed a charred fire apparatus at the scene.
