HERSHEY – In just its third ever PIAA Tournament, Northumberland Christian Girls Basketball has won a state title. The Warriors defeated District 10 champion Kennedy Catholic 66-54 Thursday in the PIAA Class 1A Championship Game at the Giant Center in Hershey. It’s the first PIAA championship in program history, after joining the PIAA playoffs just three seasons ago.
Norry Christian’s Emily Garvin led the way with a sensational performance, finishing with 35 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists and six steals. The Warriors finish the season with a 27-3 record.
